Bojo bags Mayor
by Rebecca Burn-Callander - Tuesday, 6th May 2008 - - Business comment
Boris Johnson beat Ken by 140,000 votes. Mop trounces baldie. But now the brilliant buffoon is in power, RB has one question. Can we call him Mojo?
Who’d’ve thunk it? He’s in! Boris Johnson is actually Mayor. The man who's affectionately caricatured as “Boris the Menace” in the Spectator strip now holds the Capital under his sway.
Is this good news for small businesses? It seems so.
The new Mayor has promised a monthly pow-wow with the Federation of Small Businesses to ensure he’s got his finger on the pulse of enterprise. He says that SMEs are “crucial” and “absolutely vital”.
Damn right.
Let’s see whether he puts his (our) money where his mouth is.
