The Apprentice: where are they now?

The Apprentice: where are they now?

The Apprentice winner, Lee McQueen, isn't the only one who's doing well for himself.

The word on the street is that runner-up Claire Young has a job with Birmingham City FC boss Karren Brady.

And according to our friends at the Daily Mail, she’s earning more than Lee.

Brady was one of the guests brought in by Sir Alan to interview the final five candidates, telling the big man that she’d hire Claire if he didn’t.

Meanwhile, the prettiest Apprentice wannabe, Alex Wotherspoon, is said to be already working for Sir Alan as well as being courted by fashion houses.

Breathless insiders say: “Alex might turn out to be the real winner of The Apprentice. Companies have been falling over themselves to snap him up.”

I find it all a joke. Don't get me wrong, it proved entertaining viewing, but they're not business people in terms of people who actually have to run a business. The word "apprentice" is a bit glam for them. "Junior" may be more fitting.

chit-chat Says:

I am surprised that few people want to talk about The Apprentice from the point of view of 'real business'. The show uncovers unacceptable weaknesses in the contestants. One can hardly see Lee McQueen staying around Sir Alan for long, unless Sir Alan has some ulterior motive for keeping him. There is also the question of Lee's ability to stay in such a high pressured environment. He is undoubtedly a 'fish out of water'. How long will he be able to live in the shark infested environment he now finds himself in, and more to the point, will he want to?

Dallas Willcox (Simply Words Editing Services) Says:

They are lucky to be anywhere, bearing in mind the three hours spent deciding where an apostrophe should be, and the mistakes on Lee's job application. Please see my press release on this subject, at www.simplywords.co.uk .
