John and James Timpson: drawn together

John and James Timpson, the father and son team who run the shoe repair chain, exchanged gifts at the book launch

John Timpson's new book, How to ride a giraffe, is full of drawings of some of the Timpson people that he interviewed whle writing it. (Take a bow, illustrator Ncola Jennings, whose work you can regularly see on the columnists' pages of Real Business.)

John had all the originals framed and, as several of the individuals were at the book launch, presented them.

First up to receive his, James Timpson.

James, as ever, had a response. He had got the drawing of the book cover - of John by one of his shops - framed as well.

Here's James handing it over to his father.
