Play the Layoff Game

It's horribly addictive.

As the dollars start mounting up, your victory is tempered by the ever increasing dole queue at the "emploment office" at the bottom of the screen.

Mary Flanagan, director of Tiltfactor Lab, sums it up: "The game has an unsettling feeling," she says. "It is cute and fun to play, but when you realise how frightening the situation is, the game in fact functions as a very dark portent."
