ASOS soars as the high street suffers

ASOS couldn’t give a monkey's about the credit crunch. The fashion e-tailer’s sales have soared by 104 per cent for the six months to September 30. And we’re not surprised.

ASOS (which stands for As Seen on Screen) has a cracking website, which we [asset1] in the last issue of Real Business magazine.

With 1.83 million registered users, ASOS has made a killing despite the economic slowdown,

Chief executive Nick Robertson, the great-grandson of Austin Reed, said its customer base “should be resilient” to the recession as online shopping gains popularity.
