How a US family snap ended up on a Czech billboard
Imagine sending a Christmas card to your friends with a cosy family picture on the front – only to find out that the photo has ended up in an advertising campaign in Prague. That’s exactly what happened to the Smiths.
The Guardian yesterday published the story of how a US couple’s family snap, featuring their two children, wound up promoting a grocery store’s home delivery service – on a different continent.
What amuses Real Business the most is that Mario Bertuccio, who runs the Grazie store in Prague and apparently found the image on the internet – said he would have sent the Smiths "a bottle of good wine" if they lived nearer to apologise.
Well, that’s generous of him.
