India, with China, is vying to be the world's business hotspot. UK companies have a great advantage, with the strong, deep ties between the two nations. But there are differences in our two business cultures. “It’s more formal than the UK and a lot of business is done through an old-boy network," says one businessman. "It’s almost impossible to work there unless you have contacts.”
