Lord Sugar discloses "Apprentice" changes
Lord Sugar revealed that hit TV show The Apprentice will have a new format this May.
Multi-millionaire entrepreneur Lord Sugar has confirmed that The Apprentice will return to BBC One in May, but with a new format.
Rather than being taken on as an employee, the next winner of The Apprentice will establish a business with Lord Sugar.
In previous seasons of The Apprentice, Lord Sugar has offered the winner a six-figure salaried job at one of his companies.
Lord Sugar tweeted last weekend: "No companies grew out of Apprentice, they got jobs with me. But next series will be about the winner starting a company with me."
According to other tweets by Lord Sugar, the business will be a 50/50 partnership between Lord Sugar and his apprentice.
Lord Sugar said: "Next series of Apprentice in May will end with winner starting a new business with me on a 50/50 basis where I inject £250k."
Lord Sugar also revealed that The Apprentice's spinoff programme, Junior Apprentice, will also air its second series in the autumn.
