Successful British Muslims: Real Business ranking

The media may have it otherwise, but Muslim business leaders and entrepreneurs are thriving in the UK.

Sir Anwar Pervez is a former Bradford bus driver, who built Bestway into a cash and carry behemoth worth £175m. Shami Ahmed (49th)  started working on his father’s market stall in Manchester, and built the Legendary Joe Bloggs jeans brand into a fashion icon of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
