8. Rolodex

It’s hard to believe that just a few years ago there were no virtual social networks, synchronised address books or smartphones to keep track of new contacts. It all came down to either memorising thousands of contacts or having a Rolodex to store written contact cards. You either stapled cards onto Rolodex pages, or wrote all the information yourself. Cards could also be added or removed with ease.

But this little wheel of life became extinct when everyone started to store their contact numbers on computers or phones.
