5 organisations that can help you export

At the same time it’s always useful to get a helping hand. Many organisation, public sector and private, are on hand to offer advice, finance and other services to help make things a little easier. 

1. UK Trade and Investment

The government agency responsible for helping boost exports, UKTI can be a great source of advice and market research. It had faced criticism in the past for focusing too much on large firms and big, specific contracts, but has drawn praise in recent years for expanding its support for SMEs. 

UKTI offers impartial advice, access to in country contacts, market information, training and sometimes funding to attend international trade fairs.

2. British Chambers of Commerce

Through its network of chambers in dozens of countries all over the world and the International Chambers of Commerce, the BCC can give a great deal of in-depth insight into specific markets.

It also offers help with export documentation, translation and logistics. The BCC partners with UKTI to offer export training services.
