This Norwich-based aircraft refinishing firm works for the likes of Emirates, Aer Lingus and Virgin Atlantic and KLM, repainting, stripping, repairing and refurbishing their planes so they’re in tip-top condition. Turnover has jumped an annual 37 per cent from £7.5m in 2005 to £19.5m in 2008. Run by managing director Adrian Tucker, this company puts its rocket-fuelled trajectory down to short downtimes and competitive pricing. Air Livery has its own purpose-built, climate-controlled hangars and workshop facilities in the UK – but it has also signed a deal with Air Works in India to create the country’s first dedicated paint shop for commercial, VIP, executive and military aircraft.
