AWA: How awards can have a positive impact on your company

What better way to distinguish your company from competitors than by winning an award. After all, we’re always looking for reviews or third party endorsements before purchasing a product or service, and with big changes coming to Google’s search results, showcasing your company’s success has never been more important.

Although businesses can use such awards to remind customers, investors and retailers that their products or services have been given a seal of approval by the captains of industry, it’s also a great confidence booster. Knowing that you have been deemed one of the best from your industries will help you expand your businesses into new markets or foreign territory that you have never thought of before!

More significantly, however, it’s a great way to praise your team. Getting an award makes people feel good about themselves and it’s important to show those who worked hard for you that said hard work has been acknowledged. This will bolster productivity.

But for those who have embarked on an incredible journey to change sectors or make their dreams come true, awards become a testament to how far they’ve come and what they can achieve.

Hosted by Real Business, the Asian Women of Achievement Awards, the most established and prestigious programme for Asian female business leaders in the UK, aims to do just that.

Each year, the wealth of talent showcased at the AWA and the stories of achievements across British life will truly humble you.

We encourage you to take part and nominate talented trailblazers in their individual sectors and specialities with one goal in common: to make a difference for young Asian women.

Asian women can be nominated for one of eleven categories, which can be viewed here. The deadline for nominations is 17 March, 2014.
