Be a successful entrepreneur during recession: Shannon McNab

1 Mins

But that doesn’t mean work can’t be fun. In fact, Simply Smiley founder Shannon McNab has taken her sense of humour and her passion for performance, and built a thriving business around them.

Simply Smiley takes the magic of the theatre to children, with colourful, entertaining, original productions brought to virtually any environment, from hospitals to schools. Everything is done in-house, from conception to performance, meaning that kids can enjoy a completely unique show.

But, as Shannon knows, running a business isn’t child’s play. In this exclusive video she tells us how she’s built a team of friends with their own skills, from acting to bookkeeping, sorting out her liability insurance to arranging a business loan from the local council.
