As a company owner, it’s easy to pressurise yourself for missed opportunities and improvements that can be made, but how about the positive? How about the business achievements you’ve accomplished this year?
Business achievements can mean a great many things depending who you’re asking, as we found out during our judging day for the Amazon Growing Business Awards 2017, which takes place on Wednesday 29 November.
We asked leaders from nominated businesses what they would consider their biggest business achievements of the year, and we heard everything from investment opportunities to achieving scale to gaining exposure and recognition with big names – some even made it onto TV.
Indeed, according to Jacob Thundil from Cocofina: “Our proudest moment was to go on Dragons’ Den and get five offers from potential investors. That showed our business had legs.”
For Chad West of Revolut, he said the biggest of business achievements the fintech business has conquered has been driven by the staff.
“I think the team,” said West. “Revolt has scaled to nearly one million customers in two years, we’ve transacted over five billion in terms of volume transactions and we’re really now taking Revolut to a global scale. In just two years, that’s tremendous work.”
We got feedback from one of our judges too, gauging what his thoughts are.
“What inspires me most about some of the stories I’ve heard, it’s the passion, the determination to do what it takes,” revealed, Royston Guest from Pti Worldwide.
“Whatever obstacles or barriers in their way, it’s that they find a way through, as long as they never lose purpose of two things: What their goal and objective is, and the difference they can make and the value they can add.”
So, what do you consider to be your business achievements?
