The search has begun to unearth those British small and medium-sized companies that are making the most of the mobile revolution.
Real Business, the UK’s most active network of entrepreneurs and high-growth companies, is conducting a nationwide research programme to identify SMEs that are using mobile technologies most effectively to grow and change their business. The full list of Mobile Business Champions will be unveiled at a major new conference, Real Business Mobile Enterprise 2013, to be held in London on Tuesday 25 June. “The UK is at the epicentre of the mobile revolution, both in terms of innovation and consumer usage,” said Vanessa Zainzinger, digital business editor of Real Business. “According to Ofcom, the UK is using smartphones and tablet to access the web more heavily than any other leading world economy.” With our Mobile Business Champions, we’re looking out for forward-thinking SMEs that are creating profitable change from smart mobile strategies. They could be transforming their ways of working, improving their customer service, sharpening their supply chains or expanding their markets.” We believe that these companies should be identified and celebrated – as they are the ones from whom hundreds of thousands of other companies can learn.” A panel of eminent judges will be announced soon, so watch this space for more on the campaign. Judging criteria will be based on:
Innovation/strength and originality of strategy;
Speed and scale of execution/implementation;
Measurable outcomes e.g sales growth, productivity/efficiency improvements, acquisition of new customers; and
