Broadband firms should guarantee speed, new campaign urges

1 Mins

According to the research, nearly half of broadband customers, including businesses, have suffered slow speeds, with 60 per cent frequently encountering ‘sluggish’ speeds.

Furthermore, three in ten people who contacted their provider with a problem failed to see a resolution, while 25 per cent of those who managed to get their problem solved weren’t satisfied with how long it took.

The group is now calling on broadband providers to guarantee speed and improve services.

Richard Lloyd, Which? executive director, said: “The internet is an essential part of modern life, yet millions of us are getting frustratingly slow speeds and having to wait days to get reconnected when things go wrong.”

He added: “It’s less superfast broadband, more super slow service from companies who are expecting people to pay for speeds they may never get”
