“We get on extremely well and also balance each other well,” Mann says. “We have very definite strengths and weaknesses and we’ve learnt from each other. We also have great fun and we’re very passionate about the business.”Commercial Group is based in Gloucestershire and provides office supplies and services. Turnover last year was about £23.5m but the plan is to increase that to £40m during the next four years. Mann says they’re on track to reach that target: “Average growth is about 20 per cent and future growth is expected to be organic, through the corporate market and through being innovate and consultative in the way we sell.”
The company employs 130 people and Mann says her brother has been brilliant at managing the workforce. “One of my brother’s strengths is giving people space and believing in the people around him,” she says. “When they made a mistake, he saw it as part of the learning process whereas I was much harder on people.”
