The survey of 500 small business leaders even found that more than one in ten (12 per cent) had even sacrificed a relationship, ending in breakup or divorce. In London this figure rose to 20 per cent.
Liberis CEO, Paul Mildenstein said, “Running a small business is hard work and many sacrifices are made. We should applaud and support our small business community for their contribution to the economy, which is over 50 per cent of the UK GDP.”
The survey found that The biggest cause of worry for businesses is cash flow management, with nearly a third (31 per cent) of respondents citing it, followed by regulatory administration and staff issues for 18 per cent respectively.
This was followed by access to funding at 11 per cent, and one in three (29 per cent) said they had sacrificed personal savings for their business.
