Prompt payment saves Alumet ?80,000 a year

Last year was tough for building contractor Alumet. Founder and MD Gary Summers was forced to make 30 redundacies, take the factory down to a four-day week and slash margins on projects across the board. But there was a silver lining: the cash-rich company claimed a wedge of revenue back for settling invoices on time.
