Dragons’ Den 2011 begins very soon, and excitement is starting to build up.
Times may be tough for the man on the street, but they aren’t tough for the self-made millionaires of Dragons’ Den. Business is booming for the Dragons, and they’re ready to invest in the cream of Britain’s entrepreneurs.
While the Dragons’ Den rules remain the same this year, there is one major change: Hilary Devey (pronounced “Deh-vay” not “Dee-vee”, as her PR pointedly pointed out to us) has joined the dragons’ den.
She will be joining Dragons’ Den veterans Duncan Bannatyne, Theo Paphitis, Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones on Sunday, July 31 for the first show of the season.
So what can we expect from the opening episode of Dragons’ Den 2011?
Dragons’ Den 2011: episode one preview
Dragons’ Den 2011 opens with Kent’s Georgette Hewitt, who soon finds out exactly how nerve-wracking it can be to pitch to the Dragons. It’s a real battle to compose her nerves, but it’s a battle she must win in order to tempt the Dragons’ Den millionaires to invest in her answer to a common birthday party headache familiar to all parents.
The first episode of Dragons’ Den 2011 also sees Yorkshireman Chris Hopkins try and convince the Dragons to invest in his newest idea for capitalising on the solar power feed-in tariff. But when a Dragon knows your industry inside-out, it’s not always easy…
Episode one also sees the most unusual use you could ever think of for a plastic egg; a circus act that’s sure to go with a bang; and a mind-changing massage service.
Dragons’ Den 2011 starts on Sunday, July 31 at 9pm on BBC Two.
