The Quint Employer of the Year pitch
Quint has recently introduced an employee awards scheme linked directly to our company values. Every quarter all employees can nominate their colleagues for “employee of the quarter awards” and the senior leadership team (SLT) choose a winner and runner up. Winners are rewarded at our quarterly strategy updates by our CEO and MD and their achievements discussed and highlighted to all at the business. Winners receive a cash prize and are treated to lunch and a spa day at a four’star hotel.
All salaries are benchmarked on a role and position basis, which we review annually to ensure they are always fair and competitive in relation to positions in the industry. We also run quarterly bonus schemes across all roles within the business, where targets are agrees between employees and their line manager.
Quint has recently appointed a permanent learning and development manager with a focus on people development for all employees, as well as particular development interventions for anyone with people management responsibility including the SLT.
We run regular internal workshops to help all employees understand what it means to work within a regulated environment. We have also sponsored a number of external qualifications for employees across the business to help with both technical capability and personal development.
Employees can play pool, table tennis and Xbox in our brand new break out area, and are encouraged to take regular breaks to do so.
Quint?performs quarterly off site updates at some of Manchester and Cheshire’s most prestigious venues including the Deansgate Hilton hotel and Mottram Hall. The CEO and MD perform a full business review of financials, performance, direction and awards are presented, followed by drinks and food courtesy of the business.
Each year Quint employees decide on which charities the company will support. This year the team decided by poll to support The East Cheshire Hospice and Bliss, and have subsequently taken part in a number of fundraising events. These have included a virtual 2000km cycle ride from Macclesfield to Poland and the completion of the Born Survivor challenge by a number of employees.
It’s not just about raising money, however, as the people of Quint believe it’s also about giving something back to the local community. We have taken part in a community project with the East Cheshire Hospice where the team have completed a communal gardens rejuvenation project.
We also sponsor Macclesfield under eight’s and under ten’s Rugby Clubs and Tytherington’s Junior Football Club, providing financial support to help grow the clubs and develop the children’s skills and well?being.
As a company we want to ensure that everyone has equality of opportunity from the moment they start with us and we will ensure that no job applicant or employee is discriminated against either directly or indirectly. Quint Group has a people policy to reflect this.
We are proud of our highly diverse work team, and as such openly present our team photos on the home page of our website.
