Parkopedia is an online encyclopedia that allows drivers to find the closest parking to their destination, tells them how much it will cost and whether the space is available right now. Farewell, parking tickets and driving around looking for parking!
Founded by Eugene Tsyrklevich, Parkopedia has taken an age-old problem and devised a cool way of solving it by providing drivers with detailed information (including real-time availability), which they can access through a combination of SMS, iPhone/iPad/Android app, as well as in-car sat nav devices and smart dashboards.
Clients already include Audi, BMW, Lexus, Toyota and Volvo. The young business also has a handy partnership with the AA and won (get this) the Innovation Award at the 2012 British Parking Awards, organised by Parking Review.
