The traditional tyre retail model is renowned for poor levels of customer service. Tyres are a distress purchase; customers are forced to pass the purchase decision to the garage, leaving most of us feeling ripped off .

TyresOntheDrive aims to raise industry standards, providing great service via state-of-the-art mobile units and an online booking service.

Founded by former Michelin senior manager Dominic Clark, and now in its third year of business, is disrupting its market and is on the expansion trail.

Having started with a single fitting van from a hub in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, the company has expanded its operation and now has hubs in Warrington and Birmingham and a fleet of 21 vans covering the whole of the north-west, Midlands and west Yorkshire.

Plans for 2014 include the launch of a new hub in the south-east region. After that, comes national coverage
