Sales office continues to impress, with incoming enquiries still at record levels. Been negotiating with the press and we now have a programme of bits of advertising plus quite a bit more editorial mapped out for the spring months, which will all do wonders for our slightly fading profile. Customer service continues to be a success, too. The guy in charge in this area has really “got” the whole concept I wanted – the essential mix, in our industry at least, of being able to tease out the outrageous “we have just dropped your furniture down five flights of stairs and it has broken so is unfit for the purpose and we would like everything replaced” from the genuine problems, on which he has a remit that no cost is too great to try and put right. I am extremely proud of the progress made in both these areas. That just leaves the little matter of the shop floor. Sooner or later, we hope to weed out the negative employees. Facebook continues to fascinate me as I watch the new links every day between those I suspect of a total lack of loyalty with ex-employees who hold a grudge.
