Patrick Mlungwana Malaza has been appointed chief financial officer of Central Rand Gold. He will join the company on 1 July 2009 and was most recently project director and CFO of Transnet Freight Rail.Jonathan Simpson-Dent has resigned as chief financial officer of Homeserve. He will leave the insurance business at the end of June 2009 and will be replaced by the company’s FD of the UK membership division, Martin Bennett. Robin Gregson has been appointed group finance director of car dealer Lookers. He replaces David Dyson, who has left the company for personal reasons. Dyson will act as a consultant to the company to ensure a smooth handover. Gregson was previously group FD of Cardpoint. Lawrence Coppock has been appointed finance director of JJB Sports. Coppock was most recently group FD of Wyndeham Press Group. Grigory Kazakov has been appointed chief financial officer of Urals Energy. Kazakov, who was previously Urals’s vice-president of finance, will replace Vladimir Sidorovich with immediate effect. Sidorovich will remain with the company as a non-executive director. Eric Chan has been appointed chief financial officer of Jetion Holdings, the manufacturer of high-performance solar cells and modules. Chan joins Jetion from China-based Gold Hongye Paper where he was the head of accounts and information technology department. Meanwhile, Raymond Wong has been appointed company secretary. Wim De Pauw has resigned as finance director of Artilium. Wim Seynaeve, a partner at VMB Financial Solutions, the company’s Belgian financial service provider, will assume the role of acting group FD. Colin McKinlay has resigned as finance director of Travelzest. John (Jack) Fraser, currently chief financial officer of the company’s largest subsidiary iTravel2000, will replace McKinlay as group FD. Gary Pyle has resigned as chief financial officer of materials handling solutions company SDI. He will leave the business on 31 July 2009 and will be replaced by Stephen Butler. Butler was most recently vice-president of finance and commercial with DHL Exel Supply Chain. David Kar-Ning Tsui has resigned as chief financial officer and finance director of China Eastsea, which provides information technology and business process outsourcing services. Jiarong Chen will replace Tsui. He is currently the CFO’s assistant. Graham Norton has resigned as group finance director of Flying Brands. Anthony Gee, who is currently group financial controller, has been appointed group FD. Flying Brands is a multi-brand and multi-channel home shopping specialist. Nigel Wilson has been appointed chief financial officer of Legal & General. He will succeed Andrew Palmer. Wilson will join the board in September once he finishes with United Business Media where he is chief financial officer and deputy chief executive.David Thomas has been appointed group finance director of Barratt Developments. He will join the company in August, taking over from Mark Pain. Thomas is currently group FD and deputy chief executive of GAME, the largest specialist retailer of PC and video gaming products in Europe.
