Antonio Maria Alves has been appointed chief financial officer of Volga Gas. Alves replaces Alistair Stobie and will join the company on 12 January 2009.

Mike McCollum, currently the finance director of Dignity, will become the funeral company’s chief executive. He replaces Peter Hindley, who will be appointed non-executive chairman of the group at the end of 2008. McCollum will be replaced by Dignity’s financial controller, Steve Whittern.

Tim Jackson has been appointed finance director of Staffline, a provider of recruitment and outsourced HR services to industry. Jackson replaces Carole Harvey. He was previously FD of Applied Language Solutions.

Colin Davies has resigned as finance director and company secretary of Access Intelligence. As a result, Chris Neilson, the group financial controller, will report directly to the chairman. Meanwhile, non-executive director Jeremy Hamer will take over the role of company secretary.Patrick Cooke has resigned as chief financial officer of Pangea Diamondfields. It’s part of a measure to cut overheads at the company. Cooke will remain available to Pangea on a consulting basis until 31 January 2009. He has been replaced by the company’s former financial controller, Jurgen Schwarz.

David Curl has resigned as finance director of Charlemagne Capital. He is to concentrate instead on the fund management group’s private equity business. Curl has been replaced by executive director David McMahon. McMahon takes over on 31 December 2008.

Andrew Lee has resigned as finance director of Cyan following a period of ill health. Lee has been with the technology company since its inception and has successfully seen it through its IPO and two further rounds of financing.Munro Sutherland has resigned as finance director of oil and gas company Melrose Resources. He will leave the firm on 31 December 2008 and will be replaced by Diane Fraser. She is currently group financial controller.Peter Smith has resigned as group finance director of technology company Feedback. His replacement has not been announced.

Richard Cooper has been appointed finance director of Gaming VC Holdings. He replaces Gerard Cassels at the online gaming company.Orhun Kostem has resigned as chief financial officer of Efes Breweries International. He is leaving to become the corporate finance coordinator in the Anadolu Group. Gokce Yanasmayan, currently a member of the company’s board, will continue with his duties as the finance manager of EBI.Shan Shan Li has resigned as group finance director of Monterrico. The resource development company is currently searching for a new FD.

Johan du Toit, finance director of Central Rand Gold, has been appointed chief executive of the company. He succeeds Greg James, who has been CEO since October 2006. du Toit joined CRG earlier in the year.
