The boss: Mike Brockman Insuring cars is bonkers. Insurers make no attempt to discover how far you drive ? which surely is a critical issue in determining premiums? Mike Brockman’s company solved this by installing a telematics box in cars to measure how far they drive. Policy holders get 6,000 miles with a policy, then buy more miles as needed. The box also measures the quality of driving, via a G-force gauge. Good drivers get lower premiums.
