Company: Insure the BoxThe boss: Mike Brockman Insuring cars is bonkers. Insurers make no attempt to discover how far you drive – which surely is a critical issue in determining premiums? Mike Brockman’s company solved this by installing a telematics box in cars to measure how far they drive. Policy holders get 6,000 miles with a policy, then buy more miles as needed. The box also measures the quality of driving, via a G-force gauge. Good drivers get lower premiums. Makes such good sense, you wonder why no-one thought of it before… Return to the Future 50 list.
