Almost eight months after receiving the award for Company of the Year (Mid-Sized) at last year’s Growing Business Awards, Tracsis is still building on its growth success story.
Managed by CEO John McArthur, Tracsis offers resource optimisation services to the transport sector essentially helping operators to understand and manage their services more effectively.
Beginning as a University of Leeds offshoot in 2004, it wasn’t long before the firm floated on the London Stock Exchange three years later. Since the IPO it has expanded at a strong pace, acquiring four other firms between 2008 and 2011.
This strong growth was key in the decision to recognise Tracsis at last year’s Growing Business Awards.
“It’s very useful to get this recognition from UK PLC because it raises our profile within our industry, as well as with the financial media and investment community,” Mcarthur says.
The firm has bought out another firm Sky High to add to its growing list of acquisitions. This is a major part of their growth strategy as it allows Tracsis to broaden the scope of their operations within the transport sector.
McArthur says that they continue to look for more opportunities abroad. Tracsis has offices in the UK and Australia and uses these bases to do work across Europe and Australasia. They recently opened new offices in Livingston and Perth, Australia. McArthur says they are also looking to expand into the USA in the near future.
He continues: “I think that our continued growth on this trajectory shows we were a good choice for the award.”?
