Get me out of this catywumpus!

What if they said that your proposal was “off the reservation”; how would you respond?

And if someone used the word “catywumpus” in a sentence, what would you do?

These are all common words or phrases used in the US business world these days, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

(No jokes here about the way Australians speak, thank you very much. I’ll have you know we speak perfect all the time.)

Anyway, it got me thinking: what "English" sayings would stump the Americans or any other nationality in the boardroom?

Are the British just as prone to making up their own form of business-speak?

Have you ever come across any weird and wonderful business words?
