Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 is set to be one of the greatest weeks for the event yet. This year, the week is expected to involve more than 7.5 million people participating in events across 130 countries.
Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 events will be held throughout this week (November 18-24), hosted by Youth Business International in the UK.
The point of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 is to support and develop aspiring entrepreneurs, create new businesses and encourage entrepreneurship as a career path. Young entrepreneurs, startups and fast-growing businesses can sign up to one of the 3,000 events being organised around the country, where they can receive practical advice and support on running a business. Around a quarter of a million people are expected to take part in Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 in the UK alone.
The theme for Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 is “take a step forward”, as Youth Business International explains: “Building on last year’s invitation to ‘pass it on’, we’ll now be encouraging current and aspiring entrepreneurs to take a step forward in their plans whether that’s starting a business, seizing a new opportunity or finding out more about careers in enterprise.”
If you are keen to participate or attend an event, there are plenty of opportunities for you to do so.
This year’s organisers have put together a list of 25 events “not to be missed” around the country.
The British Library Business & IP Centre is, as with previous years, also hosting a programme of great events for budding and more experienced entrepreneurs.
