Ahead of the 16th Growing Business Awards being held at the London Marriott Hotel, we took to the airwaves to explain what areas of business Britain is faring well, and less well, in, alongside what we think are the big success stories of the last year.
Real Business editor Hunter Ruthven was quizzed by Share Radio host Sandra Kilhof, who was keen to find out what needed to be done to help UK businesses grow. Touching on what sort of categories the awards have, Ruthven explained how the IPOs of JUST EAT and Zoopla shows that firms in the UK can become billion pound enterprises. The Growing Business Awards, held in association with Lloyds Bank, and supported by CBI, is being hosted by comedian Ed Byrne and will feature a keynote speech from Innocent Drinks co-founder Richard Reed.
