The awards are aimed at social entrepreneurs who can can make a positive difference to their local communities.
There are 13 “catalyst awards” up for grabs, each worth up to £2,200, available for those who need the running costs to get their idea off the ground. There are also six “development awards” worth up to £15,000 each, helping established social entrepreneurs to get their ventures fully operational. Applicants, who must be aged between 25 and 35, can apply for an award at http://www.unltd.org.uk/guinness-bring-it-to-life-awards/ and the deadline for entries is July 23.
