“A refusal to believe there’s a slowdown in the economy,” is ANS Group founder Scott Fletcher’s explanation for the company’s express growth since 2008. “We’ve grown at our fastest rate during the downturn, so we must be doing something right.”
ANS focuses on IT network services and data centre management with its “Infrastructure 3” architecture, a solution that has proven popular with big-name clients in both the private and public sectors.
“We put the whole company behind this solution, which is based on the greenest, lowest cost model we could develop. We’re now the market leader in terms of deploying private, cloud-based packages,” says Fletcher.
The company’s turnover more than doubled in 2011 compared with year before after an acquisition, with sales coming close to £30m, up from just over £10m in 2008.
The company is also focused on motivating its team of employees. Having won major contracts with the NHS and a London borough council, Fletcher rewarded his team with a holiday to Ibiza.
