Health Management is the UK’s largest independent occupational health provider, and its own records show it reduces clients’ sickness absence by between 10 and 40 per cent.
The business has continued to grow in a tough market because of cost-cutting measures brought in by employers. Turnover topped £21.5m last year, representing 42 per cent compound growth since 2008 when it registered £7.5m in sales.
Founder Andrew Noble says the “ability to create a supportive and friendly environment” and a “collegiate sense of support and care at the heart of our business” are the secrets of Health Management’s success.
He adds: “Almost all of our growth has been organic. We don’t spend a pound on marketing and almost all of our client wins are based on personal recommendations and references. We are essentially a big business that thinks small. We are expanding our 40 regional clinics to allow us to be much closer to our clients, and we are busy growing our Primary Care and Medical Assessment businesses.”
