Elite Telecom’s rise through the ranks of the Hot 100 has been propelled by an acquisition spree.
The business telecoms provider has snapped up a handful of other businesses in recent years, including most recently London-based business GPNS, a specialist provider of telecom services to multi-site businesses. Earlier deals included Shropshire based fixed line and mobile provider Tariff Reduction Services, picked up in October last year, which added £1.4m to revenues; and a £700,000 asset purchase from VOIP provider XL Networks.
All of which will add to Elite Telecoms’ bid for Hot 100 supremacy in 2013. Turnover reached £17.3m in its last financial year, up from £6.7m four years before, while gross profits have risen substantially over the same period, from £374,000 to £1.9m.
Expect more of the same, says Matt Newing who founded the business in 2000.
