“We’re better than our competitors but we’re far from perfect, says Colin Ryall, founder of Blue Helix, which distributes a range of fibre and copper networking products to customers internationally. “They’ve missed some opportunities but we’ve found that if you stand still you get into bad habits, so we’re growing”.
Turnover has jumped an annual 36 per cent over the past four years and, according to Ryall there is plenty more scope to grow.
“Our name – Blue Helix – isn’t restrictive so we can move on new opportunities as they arise,” he says. “Network fibre optics in the home is one of a number of opportunities for us in future. It’s a good growth industry to be in.”
