As Britain’s largest independent supplier of natural gas, Contract Natural Gas (CNG) is concentrating on providing a serious alternative to the dominant “Big Six” energy companies.
“We’re always looking for new ways in which we can tweak our service to best serve the changing needs of energy consumers,” says Jacqui Hall, managing director of CNG.
The business underwent a management buyout last year after founder Colin Gaines passed away: “The completion of our MBO marked the start of a new era,” says Hall.
The business turned over £61m in its last accounting year, up from £24.7m four years before. Profits before tax have also increased to just over £2m.
