Exponential-e, a provider of network solutions to organisations globally, is about to record another year of substantial growth, according to co-founder Lee Wade.
The most recent accounts show the business turned over more than £25m in the year to February 2011, but that figure is set to balloon again to £33m, he says.
The business’ moto is “Applied Innovation”, which Wade expands on as spotting emerging technologies and investing heavily in them before the crowd catches up. “We bring the latest tech to the market two years before anyone else. It’s a case of educated guesswork and betting that this or that technology will become the norm down the line,” he says.
Founded ten years ago, the business gambled that ethernet would become a mainstream technology for network connections, while others invested in leased lines. It’s educated risks like this that Exponential-e hopes will continue to drive the business forward.
