According to Bernie Branfield, general manager at Datasat, “If you need to get data communications to the centre of Africa, we are the people to do it. You tell us how much data you want to transfer and we tell you when you can start.”
The company has been delivering, designing, building, managing and maintaining remote communications solutions both in the UK and internationally for governments, businesses and emergency services for 25 years.
Datasat has added two new strings to its bow with the acquisition of DTS Digital Cinema and the creation of Datasat Technologies, based on a wireless product developed inhouse.
The strategy for future growth, says Branfield, is “to cross sell between the businesses. Remote communications and wireless can go hand in hand, as can satellite distribution and the cinema industry.”
Datasat, which is still wholly owned by founder Phil Emmel, has 100 staff worldwide. Turnover last year shot up to £17.6m from £11m.
