The Stamford Group was formed in 1982, following an MBO from Guinness Plc, led by John Nugent. It deals with storage and transportation of bulk goods in a wide range of industries. That means everything from pre-assembled bookcases for schools, to storage cabinets for pharmaceuticals to pallets and trucks for industrial materials handling.
The company is based in Cheshire and has overseas offices in Sweden, Germany and Ireland.
Sales more than doubled in 2008, but since then growth has been steady, with sales of ?62.7m up from ?61m, and ebitda ?3.4m last year.
