Despite a blaze that destroyed a third of its plant, and adverse press coverage of a job advert for production line staff written in Polish, this cooked meat manufacturer continues to shine.
Based in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, Forza is a giant in the processed meat industry, employing 900 staff. It is run by majority shareholder Max Smith Hilliard, who has been variously described as the most powerful man in the pig industry, and a “pork supremo.”
Turnover last year was £175.8m, up from £158m the previous year.
