Audio Network was founded in 2001 as a company specialising in the licensing of music to film and TV.
The idea was to put an end to overly complex music contracts and the founders Robert Hurst and Andrew Sunnucks created a music catalogue with that in mind.
Launched at a time when the music industry was changing rapidly, Hurst and Sunnucks also created a subscription model that allowed broadcasters and editors to select the music they wanted rather than pay for music they weren’t using.
