The online platform is revolutionising the recruitment process, better connecting recruiters with employers by providing smart, cloud-based technologies.
In anticipation of next year’s Everline Future 50 event, which takes place on 3 March, Real Business caught up with Hiring Hub CEO and co-founder Simon Swan to find out what’s new for the business.
How has Hiring-Hub grown since being named as one of Everline’s Future 50 last year? How have you developed the business?
This year we’ve seen rapid growth for the company, both in terms of revenue and growth in the size and scope of the business. We’ve always been a small company, but this year we’ve brought in a new management team, more than doubling our headcount. We are currently in the process of working out our strategy for the next five years: determining where we want to place ourselves in the online recruitment market space going forward.
Have you achieved your stated aim of trebling your first-year revenues by 2015?
Yes, and then some. Hiring Hub’s revenues have doubled year-on-year since launching in 2011. This year will be the first time we’ve trebled revenues, and the growth strategy we’re planning aims to achieve exponential growth in years to come.

How has the achievement of being named an Everline Future 50 firm helped in terms of securing new business?
There have been multiple benefits. Being recognised in this way undoubtedly speaks volumes to investors, but perhaps the most valuable outcome has been the sense of pride and achievement it’s given us as a team.
Hiring Hub’s been recognised for it’s alternative and progressive approach to recruitment, which is a great boost for morale and adds to the culture of the company. We’ve hired three new directors to address different parts of the business, all of whom are from global plcs. They see that we’re doing something innovative, and it’s a journey they want to become a part of.
How do you differentiate between clients? Is there a specific part of the recruitment landscape you’re looking to serve?
A broad spread of recruiters have signed up to Hiring Hub and we’re constantly on-boarding new clients of all sizes. Our aim is to steer more towards the SME market, as smaller firms tend to have less sophisticated internal recruitment processes.
Our new, cloud-based recruitment tool is most useful for SMEs still struggling with spreadsheets and office-based systems. We can provide the recruitment software these organisations can’t afford.
