Tell us what you think of your service providers here. The FDs’ Survey provides the most telling insight into British business today. Last year, more than 550 small and mid-sized company finance directors (and financial decision-makers) made their views known on their banks, auditors, legal advisers and technology providers. The survey analysis painted a fascinating picture of UK firms demanding ever greater levels of service and value from their key advisers. No longer, our survey found, are Britain’s bosses prepared to accept bog-standard, off-the-shelf service; they want value-adding input to their business’s performance. You can read the 2009 survey analysis here. The FDs’ Survey is the basis for the FDs’ Excellence Awards, the most rigorous and prestigious UK awards scheme for UK finance directors; and for the service providers who support them. In 2010, the FDs’ Excellence Awards are held in association with headline supporter, the ICAEW, the world-class professional accountancy body with more than 132,000 members in 165 countries. They are exclusively supported by the “voice of business”, the CBI and Real Business magazine. It’s been quite a year for business. No doubt you’ll have many observations to make about the service you’ve received from your advisers this year. The survey probably takes about ten minutes to complete and, for each completed survey, we donate £1 to the NSPCC. Fill in the survey here.
