How to win public sector contracts

This week, a campaign has been launched to draw thousands more small companies to www.supply2.gov.uk. The site has more than 75,000 small businesses on it who are looking for public sector contracts typically worth under £100,000.

Business Minister Shriti Vadera tells us: “Encouraging more small businesses to register for opportunities will mean buyers benefit form increased competition and access to a wider range of supplier.”

The initiative was praised by Federation of Small Businesses national chairman John Wright: “Local authorities and govnerment departments must play their part too by making sure that more small business opportunities are advertised on Supply2.”

Is this going to do any good Do you think the public sector is serious about awarding more contracts to small business?
