Immigration ‘shake up’ will catch foreign entrepreneurs

1 Mins

Entrepreneurs and other highly skilled workers will have to rack up sufficient points to prove that they will be a benefit to Britain’s economy before they can enter the country to work.

The Australian-style system will crack down on foreigners coming to the UK to find low- or unskilled work, and ensure that only those with adequate skills, experience and earnings will be granted entry into the country.

Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith has called the move “fair but firm,” but many foreigners are confused as to how the new system will affect their chances of working in Britain, and what the changes mean for those already employed here.Is this move good for British enterprise? Tell us what you think.
