Six short weeks after his dramatic resignation from Alchemy Partners in September, John Moulton launched turnaround investment fund, Better Capital. Tomorrow, having raised £142.4m in investment, the fund will float on AIM.
Set up in October this year, Better Capital attracted investors from Scottish Widows, Aviva and BlackRock, among others. The listed company will be used to finance a private equity vehicle run by Moulton, who stumped up £15m to fund the vehicle, and the fund will be injected into distressed firms.
