Lib Dems slam Lord Mandelson

1 Mins

“This is a purely political decision made because the government is desperate to avoid another humiliating defeat,” comments Danny Alexander, chief of staff to the leader of the Liberal Democrats.

“The idea that this should be postponed because there is no space in the legislative agenda is completely bogus. Any MP will tell you there is more than enough time to debate it properly.

“There is one overriding principle determining everything the government is doing at the moment, and that is Gordon Brown’s desire to cling to power at all costs.”

What do entrepreneurs think of the delay? Has Mandelson simply got too much on his plate with his new role as secretary of state for business, innovation and skills, first secretary of state, lord president of the council and ruler of entire world? Let us know what you think by posting a comment below.
