Linked in to marketing

1 Mins

"What on earth happened to Monday?" I ask myself. Not a weekend hangover sadly – just buried in work. Finally, with full sales team in place who have real potential, and with the year-end over, am able to turn my attention to sales and marketing. Had stayed out of this for the past few years. Interfering would have meant clashing with my son, who was then head of sales. With him gone (and new, green but hungry team), I realise it’s a good idea to get involved. Ideas are starting to flow again as a result – this is my home territory career wise, after all. The team themselves have come up with some good ideas and – now we have three strong team members for first time ever – we can split up our different markets and develop a specialist in each. Hopefully a case of doing one thing really well rather than three not so well.   As part of all this, I went on Linked In. Had been under delusion ex team were building on this but found nothing had been done and minimal contacts so decided to investigate it myself. Had never really looked at Linked In and am vastly impressed by potential of it. We will be doing a lot more on here in the future.
